On 14th November 2025, in a glittering ceremony at JW Marriott, Pune, Dr. Mahendra G, Professor & Head, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, was conferred the prestigious FOGSI–IAGE Star Eagle Award 2025 — one of the highest national honors in the field of endoscopic gynaecology.
This coveted award recognizes his extraordinary leadership and monumental contribution to the FOGSI-IAGE EAGLE Project — a nationwide movement that has trained thousands of gynaecologists in advanced minimally invasive techniques, dramatically improving surgical outcomes and quality of women’s healthcare across India.
The workshop witnessed the presence of the country’s top gynaecological endosurgeons, and the standing ovation Dr. Mahendra G received reflected the deep respect and admiration the entire medical fraternity holds for his lifelong dedication.
For over two decades, Dr. Mahendra G has been a beacon of knowledge and compassion in minimally invasive gynaecology. He has personally mentored hundreds of young doctors, conducted countless live surgical workshops, and established state-of-the-art endoscopy training centres.
